Career: Telecommunications Tech Associate for Verizon

Steps towards becoming Telecommunications Tech Associate: I started as a Customer Service Rep, and I did that for 15 years. From there, I did several Acting Management positions, worked in Specialized groups such as PSC Group Responsible for Escalated Customer Complaints.

From there I took a position in Empire City Subway an entity of Verizon – which does construction. I laid conduit for Fios Installation throughput NYC for 6 months. Finally, I was accepted into the Next Step program for Verizon at the Central Office for a tech position.

1- What is a quality that makes you successful in your career?

My determination and dedication have made me successful in my career at Verizon.

2- What 3 tips would you give someone struggling to reach their goals?

4- How do you keep your inspiration from decreasing?

My children inspired me to keep going and reach my goals – as well as continue to progress and grow every day.

5- How did you overcome obstacles to reaching your goals?

Positive thoughts are a major force in my life that drives my inner motivation and continuously gives me a positive attitude to overcome any and all obstacles thrown my way.
